Humphreys Peak

If you're going to do this hike then come prepaired. My college buddy and I only had some water, a pack of sandwich meat, and we were wearing cut off t-shirts. By the time we were on the ridgeline we were freezing cold and VERY hungry. Dont let the warm base of the mountain fool you. The Ridge line is VERY windy and I'm guesing the windchill was in the 30's. We had a few sprinkles about halfway up but luckly no lightening. Also give yourself plenty of time going up. We got up in 3 hours and we were definitly feeling it on the way down. I can honestly say in all my years of sports and outdoor recreation I have never been in more pain in my entire life coming down the mountain(legs mostly). But with that being said its an absolutly increadible view. Totally worth it, just give yourself plenty of time and food!!
