Big Sister

Started out slightly overcast. The weather deteriorated as I climbed. Met another solo climber, (K.H.) half way up. A real slab climb/scramble, (1200 meters). Wind, snow, low lying cloud. My water bottle began to freeze. Swept the hand/foot holds clear of snow on the "big" down climb. Alan Kane's guide book describes a no-go section, just past the "big" down climb, if snowy. Well it was snowy and icy, and we still did it, (slowly). Note: trekking poles are a real plus on this one.
