Monte Legnone

Very bad weather at the beginning, had to stop at a bivuac just 500m below the summit when it started hailing. Had to go out to be sure there were no other people out on the summit (a kid came in the bivuac crying saying his parents and sister were still descending. fortunately nobody got hurt and we "rescued" everybody, even the smarties that were on top and started descending when the cross oon the summit started "humming" and "fuming" and then was hit by a lightning. Then the weather abruptly changed again and got better and I could tell it was going to clear, so we decided to summit and it was a great idea because the panorama from the top of legnone is definitely one of the best in the Alps, lake Como all at your feet, all of vvaltellina and the southern alps, the Grigna on the south and east you could see monte Rosa and the matterhorn.....it's the highest peak in the area and has no close mountains close by so the view is unempeded....highly reccomended!
