Mont Xalibu (meaning caribou who racks the ground in algonquin) is located in Gaspesie national park in the Mc Gerrigle mountains. The trail leading up to its summit offers magnificent views from its north western shoulder and is part of the international appalachian trail. Trail info is:10,6km, 400m of positive gain , 5hrs. Also dont miss lac aux américain witch is the cabin on your way up before the actual climb.Check with park authorities because some trails in the park close for caribou reproduction.
