Description
Penouta Peak rises above the Somiedo Pass (Asturias) in the Western Cantabrian Mountains. This is a peak formed on Paleozoic (devonian) limestone fold, visible in its north face. The Somiedo Ranges is the western limit of over 2000m summits and also of the calcareous peaks of the Cantabrian Mountains.
