Description
The Watchman is located at the south entrance of Zion National Park. It's situated between the East and North Forks of the Virgin River. Its towering presence above the Zion valley makes it one of the park's famous landmarks with its sheer cliffs of Navajo Sandstone. It is most often seen and photographed from the Visitor Center and campgrounds near the south entrance, one of which is Watchman Campground. Climbers are attracted to it challenging scramble routes and technical climbs.
