Description

The East Temple is another one of the landmarks in Zion National Park in southwest Utah. As typical of the other rock formations in the vicinity, its made of Navajo Sandstone and created by erosive forces of running water. Pine Creek cuts along the east and south base of the mountain. The Virgin River runs a little bit to its west and on the opposite side of the river and canyon is The West Temple. The East Temple has a satellite peak called Mount Spry connected together by a high ridge. Another famous landmark peak "Twin Brothers" is immediately north of East Temple.
