We camped at tree line (11100?), got drunk. I wandered up towards nearly full moon over peak. Moon settled and vanished...got pitch black...scared, found cave (rock outcrop). Longest night of my life, I thought I was going to die. That cave was real cold, sunrize seemed to take a lifetime, literally. Kept waking up to stay alive. Sun finally came up, I just kept going up...one fales peake after the other. Finally got to the top, I am not sure, but I think I had a nose bleed (it was 25 years ago) I do remember crawling and gasping for breath. When I reached the top, a guy poped out of a sleeping bag and was shocked I was there so early. I piled my rock and headed down, met my party two hours later, they never belived I made it to the top. I will never forget this hike.
