Lone Peak

My climb in the company of Ron DeWaal was an arduous hike through forests and up scree slopes and boulder fields. But it was relatively easy compared to the Matterhorn which I summited the year before (1955) or Mount Rainier (1954) or the Grand Teton (1951). Still it can be a challenge for the local youths dreaming of doing bigger mountains.
