- Photo by J.HajasOn the way to Lassen Peak on a sunny august morning. Best route to get up is from South. From the car park you may need 2.5-3 hours to reach the peak, and 1 1/2 hours to get down again. Close to the peak you clearly feel the lack of oxygen !

- Photo by J.HajasI shot this picture from the eastern side of Mt. Lassen, from the edge of the very rugged crater. When you get into the lava fields of the crater, in some areas you can clearly feel the smell of hydrogen sulphide, as a sign of volcanic activities.
