Description
See RJ Secor (2d ed.), p. 375 for various rock routes. An extended ridge traverse [5.8, ice & snow possible, 14 pitches, first complete ascent 4/1/01] runs from NE buttress above Fern Lake, west to prominent tower above & south of Silver Lake, into notch, then up SW ridge to flat summit ridge. Actual summit is easy walk to NW. Fantastic views of June Lake area, White Mts., and Minarets.
