Description

Alpine peak in the middle of the Great Basin. 5,600 feet climb from trailhead up Granite Creek. Trailhead can be best reached with a high clearance four-wheel drive vehicle as a couple of stream crossings are involved, otherwise your climb will just be longer. Drive south on US Alt 93 from Wendover, NV and exit towards the towns of Ibapah and Callao. Can also be reached via the pony express route from the Provo area, although this is a long, dusty route with many opportunities to make a wrong turn!
