The Peak in the picture is Longs Peak in Northern Colorado, The silhouette
in the foreground is part of Mount Lady Washington.
I took this picture NorthEast of Longs Peak looking Southwest.
The picture was taken July 11,2000.
I took this picture just below the boulder field and just above Granite
Pass. I had stopped to grab a quick bite, and readjust the pack, and
noticed the first light on the face. I took the picture between 5:00 and
5:30 AM (I think). Sometimes, a picture like this is worth the whole effort
for the whole Day.
A view of Long"s south side during an ascent of Mt Meeker in August of 2004. Bob took this photo while climbing with his long time mountaineering partner Clare Comstock a few days prior to his 60th birthday.
From east side of Lake Chasm (El. 11,863ft), looking west at diamond face of Long's Peak. Hiked trail on 10/23/06, trail head to Lake Chasm took just over three hours. Beautiful day and no snow below 11k.
The famous east face of Longs Peak and the Diamond as seen from Chasm Junction. On the left the Loft and Mt. Meeker can be seen. It was taken on a crystal clear morning on August 7, 2005 as we rested around 8:30 a.m. on our way to the summit via the Keyhole Route.
