Description
Mitre Peak is perhaps more notable because it overlooks the pictursque Milford Sound, one of the most spectacular of New Zealand's Fjiord. This steep, towering Matterhorn of the south is snow capped the whole year, and climbing it can be difficult. The Fjiordland National Park is one of the most beautiful in the world, rivalling those of Norway, Alaska and Patagonia.
Thanks to John for this description.
