North Arapahoe Peak
North Arapahoe Peak Summit Log (#17450)

The ridge connecting the North and South peaks will literally make you wet your shorts, but it is well worth the discomfort in the long run. The views are unparalled, and the effort is immediately gratifying. Just make note of the cairns and recognizible formations while traversing the ridge, as coming back is notably worse. There is a point just before the final ascent to the summit, where the trail is cut off by a ledge with an 8 foot drop off. I jumped and was okay, but with sheer cliffs on both sides, it is probably safer scaling down the north wall and going aroung it, as long as descending a nearly vertical wall does not intimidate you.
