Colden

Colden is a beautiful mountain I have climbed numerous times, both in the summer months and in the winter season. It affords excellent views of the interior High Peaks in the Adirondack Mountains. I recommend snowshoes to climb the mountain in the winter, even though it will be most likely tracked. On my most recent climb of Colden in the summer of 2002, I summited via the Trap Dike, which is a challenging yet rewarding non-roped slide climb in the summer months.
