Description

Mount Morgan sits more than 3000 feet above Rock Creek on the east side of Little Lakes Valley (less than 1 mi horizontal). A 2.5 mi trail from Rock Creek Lake (9695') leaves the valley north of the peak and climbs to Francis Lake (10940'). From the lake, it's 2800 feet of cross country up the right side of the stream channel and onto the valley ridge. Near the top, the ridge flattens out, making the peak appear closer than it actually is.
