Most memorable was Whitney Glacier route about 10 years ago in middle of summer. Started too far to the east and went over morain ridge after morain ridge and got to glacier to find a maze of crevasses, some with very shacky snow bridges. Continuos rock fall to left so going along edge is not possible. Not recommended in summer.
