Description
Uncompahgre Peak is the highest peak in the San Juan Range of Colorado. It is also the state's sixth highest peak. Although the peak has a rugged look to it, it is one of the easier fourteeners in Colorado to climb. There is an excellent trail most of the way up, with one short rocky area requiring a little bit of scrambling. There are great views to the West of Matterhorn and Wetterhorn Peaks.
