Description
Cerro Puntas is a collapsed volcano. The prehistoric eruption left 48 peaks that form a huge oval broken in the west face. Prominent ridges are all around, and it hides rock climbing routes. The highest peak is in the north face, it reaches the 4452 meters. The access is from Checa, a little rural town located 45 minutes from Quito.
