Description
Mount Amery is located in Banff National Park. It is situated prominently along the North Saskatchewan River Valley and can easily be seen from the scenic Icefields Parkway (Highway 93). To its north the Alexandra River separates Amery from Mount Saskatchewan. The mountain was named for Leopold Amery, a member of the British Parliament, who made the first ascent of the peak in 1929 along with Brian Meredith.
