Description
Trevenque lies at the north west corner of the Sierra Nevada natural park. It has several one- and two thousanders next to it. Mountain has a massive path net, therefore it is very easy to access from towns of Monachil, La Zubia and Dilar. Granada is also nearby. There is a shelter next to parking place, where from one can follow paths up to Trevenque. This at the west side of the mountain.
There is no water available on the mountain itself, but lower down yes and if approached from Dilar. Also, fauna like ibexes and wild pigs can be seen.
Views to Cuerda de la Dehesa are spectacular: tens of tops, also three thousanders.
Trevenque is 2075 m high. From La Zubia one can walk on an old road straight towards south about two hours before reaching the path net.
