Description
Mt Superbus is the highest summit in South East QLD and the third Highest peak in Queensland after Mt Bartle Frere and Mt Bellenden Ker South of Cairns. This peak is much less climbed than the rockier and more visually impressive though slightly lower Mt Barney.
The peak is located in the Main Range National Park West of Croftby and Carneys Creek via Boonah. It is near the source of the Condamine River.
The peak is covered in rainforest so is comfortable to climb even on warm days. The wreckage of a plane is located near the summit.
