Description

Mount Frosty is located within Manning Provincial Park in BC. It is the park's highest peak at 2408m and sits very close to the Canada/US border.

The trailhead begins at the Lightning Lake Day Use Area parking lot (east end of Lightning Lake). The path leads through dense forest, giving the hiker an occasional glimpse at the lakes below, as well as the towering peak above. The trees thin out after about 3.5 hours, and the final part is a rock scramble to the top. The round-trip day hike takes between 8 and 10 hours to complete, and is roughly 20km return.

Given clear weather, the views from the top are superb.
