Description
Klein Furkahorn (3026 m) raises directly above the Furka Pass (2436 m) at its north side. It is the first and the easiest in the chain of peaks that continue northward [Gross Furkahorn 3169, Galenstock (3583), Dammastock (3630 m)]. An attractive road Brig-Andermatt goes over the Furka Pass along the Rhone valley which in fact ends up here. More than 45 years ago Goldfinger was passing along this mountain road together with James Bond. From the north-west it is connected by the road from Interlaken over the nearby beautiful Grimsel Pass (2165 m). Klein Furkahorn can be climbed directly from the Furka Pass in less than 2 hours. There is a lot of free parking space at the pass.
