Description
Redonda Peak lies about 2 1/2 miles north of Santa Fe Baldy in the Pecos Wilderness.
Best access is from the Panchuela Campground near Cowles. Take the Cave Creek Trail (#288) for about 4 miles then head south on the Skyline Trail (#251) for 1.7 miles. Head west for 1.8 miles on Trail #267 to Johnson Lake. The peak will be visable from the Lake. From here it is a steep bushwack to the peak for about 2.5 miles. The round trip is approximately 20 miles.
The top 100' feet or so are open and afford nice views of the entire Pecos Wilderness.
