- Photo by Ghasem Ghorbani, uploaded by Hamid Talebi MoghaddamPhoto was taken in SUMMER 2009 . This is a weird photo ! These sheep are dead and frozen in a hole at the peak of DAMAVAND ( 5671 m ). The reasons which bring them to this point by themselves are unknown . Some say that these sheep in a warm day separated from a herd in the green hillsids of DAMAVAND and drown to the peak and then because of sudden changes in the unsteady weather of Damavand's peak , they've been forced to find a shelter nearby and the closest one was this opening at the peak , which this happening led to freezing and dying of the poor sheep !
