Mount Elbert

This was my first 14er and it has begun a new passion. My first reaction after reaching the summit was "God did have a plan". All of the notes I have read on this site tell the story. Be safe, get an early start, though its not the hardest thing you may do in your life it is a tough hike for the average person, take your time, have a lot of water, get off the peak by very early afternoon, bring your camera and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. Despite what the fellow from NE said, this is an awesome experience, not a joke.
