Lone Peak Summit Log (#15156)
- Signed By: Layne Wilson

I have summited this peak 4 times and attempted 5 different times. The first time I went up, I learned a valuable lesson, and that is to carry enough water. 4 of the 5 times, I have taken the Jacob's ladder trail. It is an unrelentless accent and a rocky scramble to the top. The peak is very exposed in some areas near the top. The Summit is about the size a large kitchen table. The view is spectacular. I want to return to this summit again this year and pay tribute to my friends Trent & Lexy Pabst whom were killed by lightning two years ago. I worked at the same place they did and it was sad and shocking to see them go so suddenly. I want to get back to the top of this summit and remember them again. This summit is also approachable from the Alpine side. This approach is somewhat shorter, but the same type of hike. Very rugged, but the view is well worth the climb.
