One of the hardest mountains in the world. After the splendid ascent of Bonnington, Rouse, Tasker and Boardman, up the the 2003 season 19 further expeditions have failed, among them the 2000 and 2002 expeditions of my company ALPEX - about 7200 meter was the highest we got -. Until at least a repeating of the first ascent route succeeds it seems far from clever to try anything else on this stupendous, ugly lump.
