Started at Nellie Creek Trailhead. Excellent weather, no clouds. Nice walk up to about 13.000 feet. Then it becomes steeper and rocky. From about 13.600 to maybe 14.000 there is an area with class II, on some spots maybe class III rock climbing. A helmet is not mandatory, but it wont be wrong. People who are not used to rock climbing and think it will be a pure hike to the summit might feel uneasy or unsafe in that part of the trail, where you need your hands on lose rocks for about 15-30 minutes without a visible trail. Some mid-age hiker were afraid of that part and inverted.
Being in good shape, it took me uphill 2:25 hours, downhill to the trailhead 1:40 hour. So 4:00 hours is possible, if you are in good shape and if you stay only 1 minute on the summit. But the view is so amazing, that I stayed 1:30 hour on the summit. Being on top at 8:30 am, i was sole for almost an hour.
