San Gorgonio

Started up Vivian Creek at 9 a.m., summited around 1:30; remained up there about an hour, returned to the trailhead by 6:30 p.m. Weather was clear and warm, conditions were great.

There's a bandit chipmunk on the summit that will make a beeline for your pack if you lay it down. He lives among the rock wind shelters on the east side of the summit. Obviously, he's learned to survive on hikers' trailmix.
