Mount Steele

Team: Joe LaBelle, Elizabeth Witherill, Taina Dutescu, Jurg Hofer, Eldon Gemmill. Summited Mts. Steele and Lucania. Reached the col between these via traversing the South Face of Mt. Steele (new route). This appx one mile steep ice and snow pack route is guarded at the top by overhanging cornices. Whiteouts can occurr oblitering an escape route over making it a dangerous crossing.
