Teide

Together Ilona van Meegen, a British girl and a Tsechian boy we started in the dark from Rufugio Altavista (alt. 3260 m) to see the sunrise over the Atlantic. We were too early and had to wait in the icy wind for quit a while. Also a Spanish group youngster arrived. Covered in blankets, they looked like Indians. Finaly, the sun rised behind Gran Canaria. On the opposite side grew the huge shadow of El Teide over the ocean. In the afternoon we were enjoying the beachlife again..
