Mount Princeton Summit Log (#11809)

I was on the summit with John Goodell and other friends from Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas when the lighting stike hit and hurt a man. I remember climbing the mountain with my friend Beth Bradley and summiting the mountain. I remember standing on the summit of Mount Princeton and taking pictures with my friends. I remember looking out seeing Pikes Peak and down the valley. One of the pictures taking by John Goodell with me and my friends Dan Cole and Jenni Croxton showed the storm behind us. I remember seeing the storm brewing behind me. The next thing I remember standing to the left side of Beth Bradley when I saw out of my left eye a blue ball or blue flash over Beth's head. I knew what it was and hit the ground on my front side. The next thing I remember getting up and taking off down the mountain. Then I remember Dan Cole yelling at others to get off the mountain. It was the scariest days of my life. I thank God that no one killed or injured very badly. I am very thankful for everybody from Christ Chapel Bible Church and everybody else on the mountain helping each other down. I saw everybody helping everybody even if they were people we did not know. Summiting a fourteener is one of the greatest things I have done in my life. I will never forget this day and the climbing my first fourteener. I would like to remind everybody that if you climb just be careful. Remember storms can at anytime but much more after noon. Remember to start the climb early and come down off the summit soon as you can. Please climb safe.
