Mount San Jacinto Peak

This photo captures the view down towards the desert on the east side from the top of Mount San Jacinto. The desert is several throusand feet below the peak that stands at 10834 feet above sea level. Palm Springs Aerial tram carries visitors from the desert floor from Valley Station (2643 feet) to Mountain Station (8516 feet). One can begin a hike to the peak from Mountain Station although there are other routes as well.
