Pyramid Mountain is located on the north boundary of Olympic National Park in Washington State. It is situated on the north shore of lovely Lake Crescent which is the second deepest lake in the state at 624 feet depth. The descriptive name was applied in 1928 by the U.S Board of Geographic Names after it had been originally called Sugarloaf Mountain since 1918. There is a 3.5 mile trail that gains 2500 feet to the 3100+ foot summit. A WWII aircraft spotting station still stands on the summit and is in fair condition. From the summit one has a good view of Mount Storm King and the landslide that formed the lake.
Prominence: 700 feet.
