Castle Mountain is located north of the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort and is a familiar sight to skiers there. It is situated on the Norse Peak Wilderness boundary line south of Corral Pass. Approach can be made from the trailhead at Corral Pass, however the Forest Service road to Corral Pass is a very rough road. The north side of the mountain is the headwaters for the Greenwater River.
