Great mountain with in NW and NE faces two glaciers ("Glacier de l'Arcelle Neuve" and "Glacier du Vieux"). The south face is a very large, high and precipitous rotten rock wall. Normal routes are the ridges: longer the one from the "Glacier du Lamet", more interesting the one from "Col du Lou" (col of the wolf).
Route: from Plan des Fontainettes (2093 m) ascend with a trail to the "Fort de Ronce". Going in direction of N you can find an old trail that with many turns goes to the Col du Lou. Here you must use the traces of trail that stays near to the ridge with ascents and discents. Time: 5h30' Difference in height: 1589m
