Be careful about Bolivian Mountain Guide GONZALO JAIMES and his company HIGH CAMP, we took his services this year, first he said he was the best guide in La Paz if not the only one, he said that all the other companies were bad and that his company was the only one that had professional mountain guides, so we decided to take his services because of all those arguments.

1.The guide didn't have proper gear, he looked much more as a porter than a guide, his boots were old and the rest of his gear as old as his leather boots.

2. The tent was terrible, it wasn't for mountaineering, poles broke because of the wind, so we had no tent at 5,500 m.

3. Back in La Paz we learned GONZALO JAIMES had two accidents this year, four Americans died, so please do not take his company to climb mountains in Bolivia. Bolivian police is bad they can do and accept whatever if they get some money, maybe this guy gave them something and that's why he is still operating. Please advise people that are planning to climb in Bolivia to avoid GONZALO JAIMES. His office is one block up street from San Francisco church in Galeria Doryan 1st floor.

The name of his company is HIGH CAMP.
