Featured photo of Phoenix Peak

Sharp peak visible behind Race Point and Marathon Mountain while coming into Seward from the north. Standard ascent involves hiking up to the head of the Japanese Creek Valley, camping, and making an early summit push up the steep, snow covered face. Technical snow cimbing (rope and pickets) is involved.
