Mount Wintour is a long knife edge ridge that runs north / south along the Kananaskis Highway (#40). The north end of the peak is the southern portal of King Creek where the creek reaches the 40. Wintour presents an eloquent and dramatic silhouette to the highway and the west face is complex and broken into many triangles and deep cut gullies. The low elevation and sunny exposure make this peak an ideal early, and late, season rock climb.
