I climbed this peak with my son, Gareth (age 14), and it was our first 4000er. We traversed from the Almageller hut, up the relatively easy south-east face, although the last short snow ridge before the summit is quite exposed but not difficult. We descended to Hohsaas via the "normal route" over the north face which is all glacier with a quite tricky section through a broken part of the glacier (ice seracs and big holes to fall into!).
All in all a great trip, not technically difficult and with some spectacular scenery.
