Mount Columbia Trip Report (#9809)

This was my first 14er. I did it alone on a free day from the group I was with. Not advisable, and caused them some needless worry. At 53 (then), altitude has almost no adverse effect on me for some reason. Made it my goal to do all the 14ers above moderate difficulty. Did Harvard the next day with the group. As I report this in Jan 2000, turns out I've done none since. This summer, its Sneffels and/or Crestone unless I get the Harley, in which case I'll haul the bike to Colorado Springs in my pickup, then admire the mountains as I cruise the highways.
