Only my 5th 14er but the easiest and best maintained. Following the signs off Hwy 9 to the trailhead is easy and the trail is very well defined. The best part of the hike was seeing the mountain goats! A herd of about 10 was within 75 feet and one goat actually came up to sniff me less than 1 foot away. I am glad I brought my camera. The climb is not bad at all, taking a little over 2 hours to summit. The views are wonderful! On the way down I ended up on the old route to the foot bridge. The old route appears to be an easier grade than the new route. My advice is to go early in the day to avoid the crowds, beat the weather, and maybe you will see the mountain goats too.
