During the week up to our summit day, the weather was spectacular. Cold clear nights, magnificent sunrises, but valley storms in the late afternoon.
The conditions have been perfect for climbing. The climb is not that hard, and it should not take you too long to reach the summit (6 hours from Pastokov Rocks). Be prepared to see lots of other climbers.
Make sure you acclimitize correctly. We witnessed two mishaps that could have been avoided had the guides been a little more conservative with their teams.
Good luck. The view from the summit is great. You can see into Georgia and Armenia.
