the day before, we started the snowdon horseshoe in good weather, but as we scrambled up crib goch the cloud which always seems to attach itself to yr wyddfa swallowed us up. the wind must have been blowing at about 40 knots as we reached the summit in thick cloud to have a pint with all the "choo choo" people. so to sunday 18th june. this time there was to be no stubborn cloud. the climb up tryfan started slowly from llyn ogwen because of the 30 degree heat but as we got higher the breeze picked up to cool us down. the day's exertions before were now a distant memory as the climb up was now pumping the adrenalin and making it really enjoyable. we reached the summit and mick and jon "did" the adam and eve, mixing with several people to enjoy the views. the glyders were to be the next course with the devil's kitchen and y garn as dessert and supper but as it was really hot we decided to drop down to the beach on llyn idwal for a cool dip. that horseshoe can wait - but not for long.
