Overnight at Campo Argentina, then normal route to the summit, taking the long summit ridge not the steep direct slope to the summit. Fantastic ridge. Left camp at 03:00, summitted at about 08:00 - early start recommended to get the summit to yourselves. Few objective dangers. We had acclimatised at Condorirri, climbing a few peaks in that area. Climbing party consisted of Owen and Carol Thomas and Dave Owen, with Steve Barker and Fiona Owen being unwell on summit day. Bolivia is a fantastic country with great people, however I went back in 2001 and had real problems in getting to the mountains due to local civil unrest. With the latest election this may now have been resolved.
