One of the most difficult 4000m peaks in the Alps. Rarely climbed, as even easiest route (famous Peuterey-ridge to Montblanc) requires 4th grade climbing and 50 degree ice, a bivouac and 15 hours at least

steffan on Sep 04, 2003Made it up a good distance but found we had painted ourselves into a corner. Will try again in a year or so.
- Log #15096 - by Michael Mewes on Dec 07, 2000Poor snow-conditions when attempting it from the Eccles-bivouac (3850) Not recomendable route. Most likely routes probably via the SE-ridge or the ice-wall leading to the col de Peuterey.
