Melungtse is the highest peak of the Rolwaling Himal. It is best known for its dramatic west face, which is a sheer square-cut wall of ice, rising to a flat-topped 23,040-foot ridge. Melungtse's sharp pyramid summit rises just northeast of this spectacular ridge.
